Review, Scam (3/20/2018)

The following is a scam in which the scammer sends over a malicious attachment. In this case the link is framed to be a DocuSign document which requires the victim’s signature.

The link is loaded with malware and will steal the victim’s personal information such as passwords, bank accounts, social security number. The scammer will use this information to open credit cards in the victim’s name.

The emailer is not emailing from their business email. The victim was not expecting an email from said company either. Also the scammer is posing as a a famous visual effects artist who is also a founding member of the company. All of these are signs that this is a scam.

If you have received this email please delete it.
